Amend conditions 4 and 5 relating to the existing, approved, "Meriton" building name signs on the upper parts of the building at the above property which has frontage to George and Kent Streets and is known as Meriton Tower. The proposed amendment to Condition 4 seeks to switch off the signage lighting at 10.30pm and not involve any dimming from 10.00pm. (Condition 4 currently requires the signage illumination to be gradually reduced between the hours of 10.00pm and 11.00pm and the illumination is to be switched off at 11.00pm). The proposed amendment to Condition 5 seeks the intensity and illumination of the signage to be in accordance with the requirements of AS4282-1997 "Control of the Obtrusive Effects of Outdoor Lighting". (Condition 5 currently does not contain a performance standard and requires the signage intensity and hours of illumination to be considered by City of Sydney Council).
