The proposed works to the State Theatre Annex building (also known as 476 George Street Sydney) include refurbishment and BCA upgrade, provision of new rooftop plant and the demolition of a section of the basement boundary wall and extension of the stage and back of house in to the basement levels of the adjoining new building. The application also proposes a new shopfront and use of part of the ground and upper levels of the State Theatre Annex building as retail.
