This also includes events with sound amplification equipment, which have a crowd capacity of greater then 5,000 people for no more than 8 days per calendar year.

Use of Moore Park for up to 20 Major events per year over a five year period. Includes the following areas:-Moore Park West-deliniated by South Dowling Street, Anzac Parade and Cleveland Street/Sydney Boys High School boundary; Moore Park East-deliniated by Anzac Parade, Moore Park Road, Driver Avenue and Lang Road (also includes Driver Avenue itself); Moore Park South East-deliniated by Lang Road, Anzac Parade and Robertson Road; and Moore Park South-deliniated by Cleveland Street, Anzac Parade, Boronia Street, the southern boundary of the Moore Park Golf Course and E S Marks Field, South Dowling Street and the eastern boundary of the Supa Centre. (see attached location plan). Major events include the Mardi Gras Parade, music festivals, circus as well as community, sporting, charity and corporate events. Development consent was granted by Council in 2000 to hold a maximum of 50 major events per year-with 2,500 to 20,000 people-over a five year period. These were to be held from sunrise to 10.30pm (11.00pm during daylight saving). This application seeks to renew this, with a reduction in the number of major events down to 20.
